Ocv has little to do with the power used while welding.it is working voltage that dictates that.
welder efficiency is my point exactly.better welders have better efficiency,there is no getting around that.
for anybody to think that because their chinese welder cant do something,then none others can either,is pathetically small minded.
Cable lengths and diameters are variables that will influence results obviously.i was taking it as a given all would be standard
I agree...
Better welders have less loss.
Welding current and volts when welding give power consumption.
Yes a Fronius welder will have lower internal losses than a cheap inverter from China.
But it is no good feeding the worlds most expensive welder with miles of thin cable for sure.
