Arc Rod sizes

Hi All, I have got myself a StacticArc 140amp 3 in 1 welder, getting on well with the Mig side, but just fancied a go at Arc welding (this I have not done since about 1990, as we moved over to a Mig machine in the workshops). I have a upcoming project using 3mm mild steel box section and just wanted to have a play with the Arc side of things, our local store stocks 6013 rods in 2.5mm and 3.2mm, which size would suit this 3mm box.

The maximum It would handle without stressing the machine I might add .
I'd avoid using 3.2mm electrodes with such small welder
