Miller 300 Sync’ AC ally welding with lanthenated electrode welding
2mm 1050 sheet and 6082 bosses
The arc at lower amps fluctuates arcing from side of electrode as I increase foot pedal migrates to tip but is not focused even appears to rotate, If I increase pedal a bit more I can weld with it but as I back off arc fluctuates
Weld as you can imagine is larger area of weld puddle than it should by 2 or 2.5 times ideal width
Needless to say I’ve tried many things
Gas flow, grind Tungstens, diff angles
Amps balance
Gone to pulse which has improved to some point
But do not seem to get a true arc at tip
Of electrode
BTW no issues in DC steel/ stainless
ps I have cleaned and ground the AC internal HZ electrodes but that was about 8 hrs of AC welding ago
Any advice tips appreciated
