Hi there,
Without meaning to sound like a complete idiot..
Planning on mostly automotive welding.. Just bought a Clarke 151EN (from weldequip, top service, top bloke)
I haven't started welding anything yet, i'm fairly paranoid about arc eye issues of those who may be wandering by at any given time.
I have only a gravel driveway, quite close to the pavement, a thin hedge part way between, but not running the full length (obviously).
Was wondering at what ranges arc eye could effect passers by and such?
Are you legally obliged to take the correct steps to protect others? (I imagine in these days of compensation culture there is probably reponsibilites to be upheld in such areas). Warning signs etc
What steps do I need to take? From what I can see proper welding curtains seem to be rather pricey.. are their alternatives.. short of issuing everyone in my village with a welding mask
