Just doing a little refurb on my over arm supports, the units have built in oil reservoirs in the top, with a push actuated plunger to deliver oil to the bushing at the bottom.
At some point they seem to have been modified to disconnect the reservoir and plunger system from the bushing, with a pipe designed to accept an oil gun used instead to directly feed to the bush.
Can anyone shed any light as to whether this is a particulary advantagous system? It must have its bonuses if someone has gone to the effort of moddifying both brackets in this manner.

Thanks
