Appreciating the branches

Been so cold over the last couple of months, but the local council did me a big favour by trimming some trees in the park where I walk the dog, I take as much as I can carry. Takes a few dry logs to get the off-cuts going but the shed is nice and warm.

I leave a few sticks out for the public to take , they shift hundreds of tons of it every year. Piles like the ones below are normally gone in a few hours and they never leave any

Wow i would never take roaside logs unless there was a big sign over them saying i could
Wouldn't want a theft charge for some firewood or to deprive anyone of thier stuff and work

Saw a net bag of split logs somewhere at £5.99. You could carry it with one hand.

Its common for the Arborists to leave them ‘outside’ the property around here. When I first saw it happen I thought the same however its fair game. Nice one 8ob

I did used to put the "free" sign up but there is no need now as they all know its just waste and its got to go. On one occasion a lad buzzed the gate wanting to know if there were any sticks available that he could cut himself, stuck a few on his truck with the telehandler which nearly broke the truck in half and he stopped for more on his way out
