Anyone using Milwaukee brushless range?

Picked this up this evening locally- FB add. Guy only used the drill once, as new for £120 was too tempting.



I didn't notice until I had it home that it wasn't Fuel version.

Normally there was brushed Milwaukee stuff and Fuel brushless Milwaukee. But it seems like this is a third one now- like an intermediate range perhaps.

Have any members used the Milwaukee brushless range and is it pretty much the same as Fuel(?)

I don't think they are. The Fuel range if I recall was introduced when Milwaukee started putting their bespoke "PowerState" motors in the tools. Non fuel brushless by inference must have been off the shelf motors.

No definitely not fakes! It is a Brushless Milwaukee range.

There's a rather convincing video (I haven't sat down and confirmed it) that shows the claims that the tools communicate with the battery to determine power is bull poop.

Not much in the way of advanced communication.

Thanks for that, good description of the differences.

I'll try these out for a while and see how I get on, I'm sure they are totally fine for my needs. I have heavier duty cordless impacts and drills on hand too.

It bothered me that I missed this and really I'd prefer Fuel stuff.

So I sold em on today on FB. I already have an M18 fuel impact driver so it's really just the drill missing (besides having 12 or 14 other drills but that's a minor detail)

I already have a Fuel M18 impact driver. Just picked this up today- current Fuel version drill 13mm chuck etc



Best bit is, it only cost me £20

Tool buying maths -

Bought the set in post #1 from FB locally for £120. Sold it on fb for £210. Bought this new Fuel drill on ebay for £110.

Not sure what you mean but if your saying Milwaukee stuff breaks- I have very good luck with it and never had anything wrong apart from bearing replacement in grinders.

going home is the expression used for stuff thats wearing out , should be some years down the line , saying that my mid torque fuel which has nt hard a hard life , on no1 torque setting it now could nt undo a fly button , yet mid and no.3 settings are fine , which are luckily the ones I use.

What possessed them to add the word "fuel" to their tool branding...confused me when I was looking because I thought it needed a fuel cartridge .
