Hi all
Looking for a coating suitable to go over a corroded chassis (4x4 with ladder chassis not monocoque) that will be needle scaled and degreased only (time/funds/equipment dont allow for removal of all rust, it's not a resto, just trying to extend its life)
Considering using Corroless Chassis In One (CIO), also rebadged and sold by buzzweld. Has anyone used this some time ago that can report on longevity of it in slowing surface rust down?
Only a couple of posts on here that mention it in passing and I can't find any long term results on Google.
Main plus points that appeal are no need to pretreat surface rust, no primer, 2 coats and you're done. It supposedly contains a pigment that arrests corrosion.

used this for 20+ years and still own the cars it was used on. vanden plas 1300 floorpan stripped but still had slight areas of surface rust painted with finnigans no 1, was being restored outside so not driven 6 months later rust coming through again so stripped back and bonda primed (2 coats) survived a further 4 years outside without a speck before being painted in stonechip never been a problem since (taken this year. best pic i have at hand) :-)
