Anyone use a purge box?

I was watching some videos on you tube and came across 2 videos from jodi of him building a purge box.

Looks like it could be handy. I don't think I've ever seen him using one in any of his videos though.
Has anyone here used one? How did it work for you?
It's got me thinking now. If argon is heavier than air then really if you stick an argon pipe in a box, the box will fill to the brim with argon and any work piece is completely shielded. I know I'm probably over simplifying this but I'd like to hear anyones opinion on developing this idea into something worth building and using.
I do a lot of fairly small stainless parts that can be really fiddly to purge but would fit in a relatively small box.
What's people's thoughts on this?

For small parts production/repair I can see it being an asset, excessive gas use possibly depending on size of access required.

What did you use for the filler material? Jodi uses copper coated steel balls in this but mentions that stainless ones would be better suited

I used copper coated BB's from amazon - they worked fine in my application but stainless would be better for some jobs
