It's only in line with one lead until the circuit is completedProbably just to smooth out an AC buzz box type welder? doubt very much it would do anything for the output given that its only inline with 1 of the leads...
thats what i mean, given its only inline with 1 lead it can only smooth out the arc and not increase the output as mentioned in the original postIt's only in line with one lead until the circuit is completed
Being an inductor, it will prevent a sudden high current pulse when the circuit is made, giving a more controllable arc.
Smoothing out watch repairs..The windings don't look capable of carrying more than an amp or two!
Without a mug for scale, this is complete speculationThe windings don't look capable of carrying more than an amp or two!
Most of it makes perfect sense, but what's the spark plug for?No guesses on this? It has me puzzled.
Well there is no contacts and I don’t see a spark plug so I guess I’m gonna have to plug it in to my old buzz bow welder and throw the switch and see what happens…so if the power goes out on the east coast I guess you will know why…lolMost of it makes perfect sense, but what's the spark plug for?
I have no idea what the rest of it is for either
Hi,No guesses on this? It has me puzzled.
