Anyone know anything about ovens?

Ive never bought an oven before, however I have the choice of one of the following two new old stock ovens, they are brand new and still boxed, and are being offered to me at a massively reduced price to clear stock.

Either an all singing all dancing Bosch one, was £939 http://www.bosch-home.co.uk/product-list/HBG856XS1B

Or an even more expensive Siemens with an integrated microwave that was £1299 http://www.siemens-home.bsh-group.com/uk/productlist/all-iq700-ovens-with-tft-display/HM676G0S1B

I was initially going to go for the siemens as it is more expensive new (both are being offered to me at the same price) however I’m a little sceptical about having an integrated microwave, is it more to go wrong down the line?
The Bosch seems to have better display graphics, for whatever that’s worth!

Any ideas welcome!

Both made by the same company, the combi microwave is awesome when you learn how to use it. .

Personally I would take the siemens

Depends what you mean by massive discount - half price? £600 buys you the bottom end Miele which means it may not have all the bells and whistles as their top end models but it is built to the same standard for service life which is much longer than virtually any other consumer goods manufacturer.

1/4 rrp of the Siemens, family friend has a kitchen business, they were overstock and promptly put in warehouse and forgotten about.

Here's my wife's thoughts, an integrated microwave is only good if you're short on space because it's a pain that you can't cook one thing in the oven and defrost something else in the microwave. Same goes for a grill & oven in one... that's why she has a 2 ovens and separate grill

When our expensive oven finally broke we bought a £260 Indesit electric double oven and its no different to the £1000 one we had

out of interest, if u buy Bosch make sure it's made in Germany, the Turkish stuff is rubbish.........and don't mention Phillips.........neither of them will be allowed in any house of mine.........
we buy a mid priced branded goods depending on price, the warrenty is the same........if any washing machine lasts more than three years it's a bonus......

But how would one ensure that before it turns up on the tailgate of a wagon, or is unpacked in the kitchen/utility room? They won't sell you the one off the shop floor, and don't expect the 'Sales Consultant' to know......or ensure on your behalf

Why do people think the German makes are the best?
They are far more expensive than other brands and no better in my experience.
Belling are British and I have never had trouble with them - wouldn't it be nice to keep jobs in this country? Sadly that never seems to enter people's heads any more!

We are currently doing our kitchen as part of a bigger job so my experience comes from hours of reading and playing with demo ones but not actually bought one yet (we have decided on neff though fwiw).

As above, bosch neff and Siemens are made in the same factory apparently but in my opinion they are massively different - mainly around the user interface. That bosch one you quote has the rotary interface which I just couldn’t get along with. Not sure on that model but they were very much aimed at the “connected home” where you could start the oven from your cell phone etc. Not something we would ever use. I just didn’t like the way you spun the dial for everything, and this was the main reason we selected neff as they have push buttons.

What I would suggest is you go into a store and try them out. You might be surprised how 2 ovens can be so different to use.

slim boy fat,,,,,,,,,easy, just specify before purchase.......got this from a friend that worked in warrenty claims...........irrelavant now as all my "just outta warrenty Sir" items are down the tip........now just depends on price and spec......
our warrenty is 2 years as standard, so 300quid for a washing machine used at least 3 times per week x 52 x 2 = equals cheap enough, after that it's athrow away.........

yes basically, although the neff and siemens tent to be more flexible and more feature rich........ best bet for neff is the b57..... range, i500 or studio line for siemens. ... We don't really do bosch not our real market. Make sure it has pyrolytic cleaning
