I need a couple of leather carrying straps making for some old test meters, very simple things. Does anyone know of someone in the Worcester, Bromsgrove type area's that could do this ?
Thanks. They are so simple there isn't even any stitching involved ! It's just leather, black on the exposed side, natural on the back, just over an inch wide, 3/16" thick or so, maybe 12" long, pointed off at the ends with keyholes for the spigots on the case. Someone who makes belts would probably be best, I was just looking for a recommendation really.
Hi, I have a friend who is a saddler, she also makes bags and belts. We're in West Dorset so a little bit far flung from you, though. Send me a PM me if you would like to get in contact with her, or maybe try a saddler near you?
I get my leather for my projects from a shop in Matlock called the identity store. They are very helpful and it sounds like you could make what you want pretty easily. A belt punch and a craft knife would do what you are aiming for and you probably already have those. If not they are cheap, mine was £1.99 from a local hardware shop
