Anyone have a dead drill they can rob a part from for me?

Looking to mount one of a few 10mm chucks I have onto a stub that I can clamp in my larger tailstock chuck to let me use smaller drill bits.

Thread is 3/8 x 24tpi.

If anyone had a dead drill they could smash the top off and post for me would be great.

I'm trying to get to something like this:

I did something similar but just cut the head off of a 3/8" UNF bolt.

I used a bolt with a Tee bar through it to turn one into hand chuck

Haha, so simple! I don't have any of those either but should be simple to find. Probably ought to go for 12.9 but i expect 8.8 would be fine as won't be taking much torque.

Somewhere I have a couple of little chucks with stubs that I have/can hold in a bigger chuck.
One of them is from a dead flexible drive, it will hold tiny liltle drills, it's the sort of thing people chuck out[unless your really tight].

How about a pin Chuck? They are very cheap.
