Anyone have a Clarke DA Sander CAT121

If so where do you get your sanding discs from as I can't seem to find them online?

Managed to find some on Amazon but nothing the finest I can see is 120 grit...

Just out of interest what are you interested in doing with it? That style has very high vibration levels and shouldn't be used for prolonged periods of time, if you want a very fine finish you can use scotch brite pads, they will just about stick

I picked that one as it looked a decent size for doing some of the bigger jobs, it won't be getting used for prolonged periods of time though.

I'm guessing it will be a bit big for most automotive work, I might need something a bit smaller for those, any recommendations?

Found a load on Ebay but still nothing fine.

How do you get the Scotch Bright to stick to it?

500 grit

The local autofactor (Hickleys) does boxes of self adhesive or Velcro discs in various grits for £6 a box, 100 in a box from memory.

You need a commercial automotive paint factors for DA discs,

Does you machine have a smooth or a velcro pad?

You need a smooth pad as the cost for the discs are about a 1/4 of the cost.......

It's the smooth one, quite happy with it so far though, I'm actually thinking about getting a smaller one as well around 3" or so.

I use the electric da's there great and don't get ice cold like the air stuff,

The 3" guns are very versatile and you'll probably find yourself using that were the 5" would do a better job well worth the investment.
