Oerlikon have been around for sometime.
I have used a couple of their machines, a bigger Mig and a Tig. Trouble free. The Mig wasn't the smoothest i have ever used, but would be better than any budget machine.

I'd say they were a mid range brand.

Well respected name in the welding industry,I wouldn't expect it to remain with out bids for long.He will have cut down his market somewhat by saying pickup only.

i've just done a search on these and it looks like they were taken over and are now made in Slovakia and not to the standard they used to be.....interesting reading..

I had a 'citoarc' 11 years ago-trouble free ,not as heavily built as i thought,but the oerlikon name is tempting.Sold it when i upgraded to migatronic-kept its value well.

Welders are OK but don't buy their wire! the coating clogs up our wire feeders at least 5 times quicker than the ESAB wire we normally use. I know, I have to clean the damn stuff out when servicing the welders
