Little old lathe

Wondering if it might be of any use in the little workshop I'm building? I'm aware it's missing a few parts, how hard would it be to find them?

Also how is it driven? Doesn't look like it's got a motor inside it, presume there should be a standalone motor that sits behind it or something?

It needs a motor and V belt to drive the pulley visible in the fifth photo. It's not something that I would buy for a first lathe. It looks like it has been design to perform a specific task.

The toolpost plate thing looks like it'll quickly index 90 degrees for subsequent operations, like a capstan tailstock.

It is a turret lathe - a very small one.
Looks well made but a new one on me.

I decided against it, think I'd like something a bit more mainstream. I like homeworkshop but everything seems a bit overpriced? Or is it all just good quality stuff that's been looked after, and worth the extra?

Also I'm looking at some cheap lathes on gumtree, but some look fairly heavily used. Is there actually a problem with that...I guess it will be nigh on impossible to do precision stuff, but for someone like me who never needs precision, are there any other problems it would cause?
