Anyone got a chimney handy?

Hi all,

I am struggling to find free material to make my free/ recycled wood burner. So far I have got a few empty gas bottles gratis, and an old steel radiator (which will either be used with a heat exchanger or used as a source of steel tubing to make bits for the stove).

I am looking for stuff to make my flue, and potentially other things like the control valves, hot plate etc..

Old disc brake seems popular for the hot plate, anyone got one of those? Not changed one for a while and last lot i did I didnt keep hold of (was before i thought of this project)

Ill consider anything you don't mind letting go of.

I'm in Peterborough, and can come pick stuff up as long as its not too far :@)

Have you tried your local Freecycle group.

have a nosey down quickfit ect for brake disk. bum one of em ask a local heating engineer for radiator pipe and valves

rtbcomp, yep tried freecycle, thats where i got the gas bottles!

il keep trying on there, hope someone has something!

Ill see what the local garages have got in the way of old discs! asked around at work but no one has changed a disc recently!

get to your local scrap yard youll pick some up for a couple of quid
