Anyone going to paris by car you will need to read this new Crit'Air system
First use of new Crit'Air system
January 22, 2017
THE FIRST vehicle ban in Paris using the new Crit'Air anti-pollution sticker system will take effect on Monday, January 23, as authorities attempt to limit the effects of a pollution spike in the capital.
Vehicles that have a grey category 5 sticker will not be allowed on the roads of the capital within the perimeter of the A86. The motorway is not included in this restriction.

Category 5 is restricted to diesel engined vehicles from 1997 to 2000 (Euro 2). The mairie has also applied to extend the ban to vehicles with a category 4 sticker - which would also affect diesel engined vehicles from 2001 to 2005 (Euro 3).
Authorities have advised commuters to use public transport wherever possible.
All vehicles on the roads in Paris must now display an anti-pollution sticker on the windscreen. To order a Crit'Air sticker, log on to the website www.certificat-air.gouv.fr/. The tickets cost €4.18 to send to an address in France.
Meanwhile, vehicle registration-based restrictions will be imposed in Lyon and Villeurbanne, due to a "persistent" episode of fine particulate pollution. Vehicles with an odd-numbered registration plate will be allowed to travel on Monday.
A full report on the new Crit'Air sticker system in Paris will be published in the March edition of Connexion, which will be in shops next weekend.
