Anyone fancy this to play with ?!

This was bought quite a few years ago now as I had a notion to make some sort of test stand for it so I could fire it up for the crack !! It's a converted flat six Continental light aircraft engine, done for the US military for portable power applications. It's self contained with a 24v alternator and self starter, with a big fan at one end for cooling. I've never had it running but it has storage oil in the sump, it does turn over and the mag sparks. Great toy but one too many for me now !!

lol, that looks like it would move some water but would turn the fish into paste alas you cant get red petrol to keep the running costs down,

That has been considered !! Well, in a van anyway ! It would probably twist the shell up like liquorice though !!

About 6 ltr and 180 BHP rated, that is continuous.

I once had a Wright Cyclone, 9 cylinder aero engine, a late one rated at 1500 BHP !! Supercharged and everything ! Just ran out of space, so it had to go, to a bloke in the black country who's rigged it up in a shed so he can start it up at his leisure !! Wish I still had it, I'd have set it up on a portable rig to demo run at shows ! There are a few guys doing that with even Merlins, P & W R-2800 and even R-4360 !! Even one with a Bristol Hercules !!
They get paid well to run them at shows.

It does, the guy I bought it from had one set up and I heard it running on an open pipe !!
It was like the coming of the apocalypse !!
