Anyone familiar with cancam?

I’ve got myself a Baileigh plasma PT-22 table that runs on cancam (uk manual) or bobcad as far as I can work out.

I’ve only got usb sticks with it.
The original owner is deceased some a few years ago and his widow is trying to locate anymore discs or computer etc he may have used.

The uk manual suggest version 9.

I’m not clued up at all on this kind of thing whether the machine can have a different software installed

CanCam I have not heard of, but sounds like a CAM program.
Bobcad I have read a bit about, and it's a CAM program.

Both of these take a .dxf or other file, and create a toolpath.
Then run it thru a postprocessor unique for your machine to
make the required G&M codes & whatnot.

What does the machine itself have for a controller ?

the machine uses a rich auto A12

Try loading up the CAdCam programs into a PC.
See if a postprocessor has been pre-selected or at least documented as to which one to use.

I’ve found sheetcam on one of my laptops. Looking through it has post processor for richauto on it.
Just need to get to grips with it all again.

As for the stuck screen. It could be some loose wiring or sensor fault apparently.
Resetting the unit is not advised with having to reset all the parameters again. Baileigh uk is no more by the looks of it for backup
