Anyone else enjoying the Yorkshire light show?

The lighting is amazing at the moment. I've never seen it like this before, littrally constant flashes but no thunder.

same here in Doncaster lightning but no thunder and getting very windy

we had the thunder and lightening this afternoon.

I was controlling it with my camera - everytime I stopped filming there was a dramatic flash of lightning.

I'll try to get some stills up tomorrow.

This storm came up from the West Country, along the Welsh border, through The Midlands and on to the Yorkshire Dales. At one time there were over 100 strikes per minute.

I'm down in London working but the wife was telling me that the lightning had brought all the big spiders out and the kids were hiding in our bedroom and the drains can't take the amount of water so there's was a stream in front of the house. Also she would like to know where all the torches have gone 'cos the lights were flickering.

I was in the Pub just up the road from the Sheffield Wednesday Ground. It was hammering it down and intense Lightning so we decided to stay in the pub until it stopped. It stopped raining so we ran down expecting to miss the first 10 minutes. Got there out of breath and sweating like a pig....only to find out the kick off had been delayed 15 mins so we were early.
The sky kept lighting up all through the first half

saw lightning in Sunderland on my way home from work about 10.30pm

was a little freaked out at first, thought the flashes were a police car or something like that.. lightning but no thunder or rain is quote strange :-o

We had it directly overhead here in the Welsh Marches(ish) and the thunder was more impressive than the lightning.
