Anyone dealt with clarke for spares

Whats their backup like for spares?

You would think they would list all spares available for their range of products with a current price index on their london branch website instead of asking to inquire about parts

Yes, bought some drive belts for my band saw. Seems abit daft to me though, enquire about what you want, they send you an email with the part number and price, then phone them with the part number and pay over the phone with your card. How long winded is that these days. Very good service though.

I ordered a "generic" part for a compressor because they had it in stock and were the cheapest of the ones I contacted, It looked right on the drawing!!! once ordered and payed, arrived next day -- and better still it fitted the compressor which wasnt a Clark. So a 10/10 from me.

Machinemart is only an outlet/agent for selling Clarke stuff though,rtb

You're jumping the gun assuming I have bought something Clarke related,I want to know whether their backup is any good before any purchase of Clarke related tools or machinery

As for the longwinded approach if you and others would take the time to email them about the way conduct their service on their website I guess they would do something about it.

I was expecting more from their site and so took the time to email them about how far behind their competitors they're when it comes to linking to spares section on their website.

Now i think about it, the clarke user manuals have qn exploded view of the tool and a part list. I got my band saw second hand and so didnt get a manual, but my mig was new and got part list with that. I think an email to them asking about a website update maybe a good idea.

Thats what I said in the email,so if you have a certain tool/machine you select the exploded diagram of tool/machine you require look at the part number and tick a box you wish to purchase and then buy it through paypal or CC if in stock....it can't get simpler than that.

they're expecting people to phone up their London branch for the purchase of a particular part,they're so far off the radar in todays shopping standards.
