Anybody use Bernard MIG torches?

I used to have a fair few steel fab clients on the old Bernard G type guns.

Anybody on these? As I've got a bucket load of tips, tip adaptors and shrouds that just don't move since people went over to Binzel. All parts are still available and I think Weldability SIF are pushing Brernard style torches again. They always had massive duty cycles for an air cooled torch and operators loved them as you could take them apart and shorten damaged power cables etc. even the handle was tubular and open each end to promote airflow. Really clever design but dearer than your average Binzel/Binzel clone.

Can't say I've used one of them before. Looks a decent torch though. I particularly like the look of the round handle and the switch looks nice and heavy duty.

It is beefy, you can slide the trigger into the housing to latch it as well, they have a very high quality microswitch which lasts a lot longer than your average blade switch or tiny microswitch found in most current torches.
As for the trigger being further down the handle I guess it is by the neck is shorter than an MB36 so I guess it evens out a little, you could always trigger it with your second finger down if you wanted your hand closer to the arc (often though it's just the opposite during spray transfer MIG!)

I just sold a 400 amp kemppi, the bigger torch was a bernard but more conventional. Contact tips were longer and oval instead of threaded so you could adjust how far in the shroud they sat. Excellent torch for heavy work like bucket repairs.

Yes ive got one and would love some sparescas my local supplier didnt seem to have any spares. I will check the torch this weekend if that's ok?
