hi , been asked if I would ship a fixed (colchester) steady to israel, anybody had any dealings like this ? costs/import/export duties etc. thanks
thats what I have suggested ,but would I be due to pay export tax etc ?Get them to send a courier to collect - parcel monkey etc, their problem when it goes awol
Ok, I will see what his reply is and get back to you , is it one of those things though , claim he never recieved it and ebay claim all payment back?We can ship that. Beware though Israel can be a nightmare due to customs. Car parts in particular. Had a set of headlights seized and destroyed as they didn't meet their type approval. Brake pads cost more in duty than they cost to buy. We should be able to get a rate though.
If it's an eBay sale can't you offer the eBay worldwide shipping option? You post to a UK handling centre and then it's their problem if it gets lost the next leg?Ok, I will see what his reply is and get back to you , is it one of those things though , claim he never recieved it and ebay claim all payment back?
possibly , never used it before ,are there weight /size limits , I need to check all this out, thanks @6plyIf it's an eBay sale can't you offer the eBay worldwide shipping option? You post to a UK handling centre and then it's their problem if it gets lost the next leg?

so ebays gsp is the answer ,thank you everyone. lets see if interested guy actually buys it..cheers ,and I will let you all know.No export duty to pay for you. The buyer will pay import duty/vat according to the local rules.
You will pay the normal ebay fees plus an extra 2.5%(?) International/currency conversion fee.
These fees are also charged on the postage cost so if it's going to cost you £40 in shipping you'd need to input the shipping cost into ebay as something like £47.50 to actually receive £40
If you send it directly then you need to use a tracked service where proof of delivery can be viewed online.
It also needs to be delivered within ebays estimated delivery time to prevent the buyer opening a claim. The problem with this is if the buyer decides not to pay the customs charge on arrival they can open a claim and it's hard work to stop them getting the money back.
If you send it via the gsp program you just need proof of delivery to the UK gsp address
It seems the only way I can register it on ebays GPS service is to actualy re list it , and pick that option when I do it , unless anyone can tell me differant ,spent a lot of time trying to get it to accept as is already listed but just doesnt accept it...![]()
