I'm needing quite a few cardboard boxes for some items I'm currently producing.
I've just had the first quote back, and the price for the boxes is reasonable, but they're claiming it's going to take 4 pallets to deliver them.
The big box size is about 1050x210x210, and is a double wall overlapping flap box to give extra strength.
I guess the flat pack size is going to be about 1300 x 690.
The smaller box is similar, but only 210x210x150, so about 720x420 flat pack.
They've quoted for 120 of each, now given they're double wall, I'm guessing flat pack height isn't going to be more than 10mm.
Surely double thickness cardboard boxes could withstand being stacked 120 high on a single pallet?
Fair enough the large boxes are going to push the pallet oversized, but I'm failing to see how it's going to take 4 pallets, especially since you could have two stacks of the small boxes on the one pallet.
