any specific order??

Hi all, about to crank up my clarke 120e for the first time but just want to be sure about starting.
Got guages (dual) from weldequip, cheers! very swift delivery, recommended! sounds like ebay feedback!....now, do i connect guages to cylinder, plug skinny pipe on welder back into hose, turn on cylinder gas (how far?) then set flow rate, turn on welder and start...is this correct order?
It's more how much do i need to turn on the cylinder, fully open or part and does the flow guage need to be shut when i turn it on or open?

I take it with the twin gauges you have a refillable bottle, if so open a couple of turns, as if you need to close in an emergency you don't want to be winding the valve forever. If it is the disposable bottles you are using then you need to be opening the gauge up fully.

first connect regulator to bottle, dont use thread tape, then connect regulator to welders gas pipe, turn cylinder on, only needs about 1/2 turn- that way it can be turned off quickly if you need to, then get the gas to come out of the torch and while its flowing you should set the pressure to 10 lpm

bawjaws on my last bottle with thumbwheel, I could just turn it half turn, with the bottle I have now with the spanner/key I have to open much more. Also with this bottle I had to use ptfe tape, no matter how hard I did the nut up couldn't stop a leak! Phoned BOC and they said there is probably a mark in the threading and to exchange it, bit difficult to just pop back from France though.
