Im in the middle of fitting some IP65 rated 12v downlighters in the bathoom (4 x Zone 1 35w)
The lights each have their own firehoods(i think thats what they are called)
Two of the lights have fitted fine between two joists and the insulation has been removed around them. When i refit i will place the insulation with a good gap, around 150mm away from the fire hoods.
The transformers will be screwed to a piece of wood screwed to the joists to keep the wires away from the lights.
The question being, the other two lights will hav their hoods about 10-15mm away from the joist. Is this too close to the joists? If i have to move them a little bit away i dont mind, its just where they are now they will be inline with the middle of the bath when pointing down.
