any recomendations for a small portable inverter mig ?

i have an old sealy 185A mig that generaly lives on 0.8mm wire. it's a good machene but i'm more restricted space wise than i was and it'd be nice if it's replacement was more portable, the efficency of an inverter would be be nice to get the most out of suboptimal supplys. so recently i've convinced myself it's time for an upgrade. goes without saying that it needs to weld nicely.

it'll probaly only ever be used on 0.8mm wire and 5kg reels. if you can get 1mm on 5kg reels it'd be nice if it'd feed 1mm.

it must take eurotorch.

i'm not botherd if its a no named ****** as long as its cheep enough but dont mind paying ether.

there was a riyval 175 on here that got me thinking about upgradeing the small mig again, sounds ideal sort of machene. ( as long as there welders are made better than there wire is wound )

any more suggestions to consider ?

I have the larger 250 amp unit and have used the smaller one, nice machine and you can also stick weld with it. There are many others to consider.

I think the ryval mig lowest is 40 or ist it 50 amps so no use for thinner materials, I have a thermal arc 181, usefull as its mig,tig and stick, havent used the tig but it migs 1mm easy enough and stick is super smooth.probably the more expensive models available have better duty cycle, but for easily mobile use its good for the monies(I bought mine second hand) does have euro connect as well. several makes available that have good rep. on here .Arther

thermal arc see to be nice machenes i've got the arc master 175 se very very good littel stick set.

i don't really need a massive duity cycel i don't think, for the amount i'll need it i'll just wait if it get hot and its for likely to be fidely steady stuff i use it on anyway. if it's something easly moved i have big machenes at work or in the workshop to play with, it's out and about stuff or stuff in the workshop i cant use 1mm wire for

Yes I have a 185. I wanted something smaller, portable that can also do me a also, fits the bill perfect . Can't do a long term test as its only been a few weeks since I got it, I'm very impressed so far , being inverter based its very smooth and stable arc. R tech customer service has been superb from enquiry about machine to order and technical dept talking my through some questions I had.
