Any RC racers on here?

I bought a box of stuff at an auction & in it was 3/4 gallon of Byron Fuels Race Gen 2 r/c race fuel. I'm not into this hobby so I was wondering what's in this stuff & what else I could use it for.

It looks like it's been lying in a shed for a while so I suspect it's no good as a fuel so my thoughts are use it as a cleaning fluid. It mentions methanol but also nitro methane, how safe is that?

Never used glow fuel with nitro methane as the engines I bought didn't like much and the price was a factor. Not sure as use for cleaning fluid may have a high oil content. Also some more information http://rc-airplane-world.bmobilized...//www.rc-airplane-world.com/rc-glow-fuel.html

Thanks for the links, some good info there.

The oil content can be useful if cleaning up steel items. Once the solvent evaporates it leaves a protecting oil film, at least that's what I find with using 2-stroke mix for cleaning & it's only a 50:1 mix!
