Over the last ten years I noticed the good old solvent paint has turned ****e and takes too long to dry.

What’s the quickest solvent paint for outdoor pipes n gutters or is there a magic technic activator to cure these things quick?
Sometimes I feel I want to use 2k on the brush and have done or even coach enamel but automotive paints as so expensive compared to domestic.
Is there a premium domestic make of paint that all decorator swear by?

Zinnser allcoat would be my go to. (Water based)

However I prime with epoxy first after a good wire brushing, which might upset your speed requirements if the items are a bit crusty.

Enamelrite & smithy from brundles dries pretty damn quick? I was spraying enamelrite on a bench frame last week and one side was touch dry before I finished the other, takes a few days to full cure though.

Tractol paint is a synthetic enamel, a large range of colours & if you buy it locally its around £15 per litre. A good motor factor or agri supplier should stock it, goes on nicely with a brush or roller & dries quickly.

Selemix 7-610 is an even better paint, similar to apply as tractol, dries quicker & should be available from any good auto paint supplier.
