No AFR measuring during dyno time i smell some snake oil getting sold here... Watch the whole vid then comments please chaps.

Didn’t really like his body language to be honest. And not logging the AFR seems crazy considering what they were doing. I’d have asked him to do it again. Especially as he said it had been too lean. I’d want before and after. And the power and torque curves.

Dunno, torque/hp curves cross @5250 rpm which is about right and the AFR could well be read off the bikes Lambda if the software allows so

I’ll have to watch it all when “the boss” won’t growl at me for watching YouTube But if it’s HillTop they get rave reviews on my GS forum - apparently he fixes the very noticeable hole in the curve on a modern GS/A. I haven’t had it done (plenty quick enough for me already) but anyone who has I’ve never read a bad comment.

I got into it with a chap the other day offering landrover parts guaranteed to give a performance boost, with dyno readouts to prove. his method of testing? an accelerometer type device he places on the dash then drives around town for a bit......... how that gives anything close to power readouts is anyones guess

Couldn't agree more. AFR is the governing reading, get HP or smoothness up as much as you like, engine AFR could be a disaster. I was not clear how many mods to start but simply saying its "too lean" was thin on explanation, like was it so bad it was detonating? I would not think so.. They had a lambda rigged up by the looks and would have logged AFR in my humble, they were a bit coy on showing that.

Not sure who was more annoying, the obsequious bike owner or the appearingly bullshitting dyno owner
