any one used the cheapy rear shocks off ebay

my shocks on the back of my car need replacing cheapest ican find local £80 for the 2

ebay £30 for 2 cant be that good

i know the addadge buy cheap buy twice but its 05 car £80 is fine but can the cheapy last a few years

Think you need to give us a bit more of a clue on this, like make, model, link etc
to be fair though I have bought some car stuff off the bay and it has been fine like bought some front wheel brgs at half the cost and they, up to now, have outlasted the previous ones from euro.
bought some disco front calipers and discs 1/4 cost and they are fine so hard to draw a line
A transit timing chain kit from e bay was 1/2 the cost and had bought kits from 5 different places to look at and compare, as I had had issues with timing slipping with the kit from euro and the e bay kit was the best !!

i have used the cheapy ones before, not ebay but same kind of thing, they lasted fine but felt horrible and sometimes felt dangerous!. i would highly recomend at lease sticking to a known make, the effect the struts have on the overal feel/handling of a car shouldnt be under rated. its a bit like fitting unbranded ebay tires or brake pads and still expecting to stop in the wet/ice. just my personal experiance though.

I got a pair of Sachs branded shocks off ebay very cheap for my old Astra, they where spot on and about 1/4 price of the motor factors.
Mind you after driving it for a few weeks with shocks that nackered the rear would literally drift around the slightest bend if of been happy with anything lol

im not fitting them my self (bit lazy but old car potential to snap a bolt is high and i can be with out my car)

good bloke that i use as my mechnic said i can cheak the prices and he will see what he can get

Try euro car parts. They have vouchers around bank holidays...

tryed euro parts £80 for both bay of thives £31 lot of differance im thinking of trying them the car will only prob last another 2 years so not worth buying parts to last a life time

^^^^^^^sorry to say im not that young when i was 20 and had my first car an a reg cars that are 7/8 years old where £300 now cars that are 14/15 are still 500 to 1000

Did you try Halfords? I got discs and pads from Halfords, the came from Eurocars parts. Cheaper than eurocar parts were selling them for and free postage

you do know you're ment to inform your insurance company if you fit non oem parts
i know folks don't but know of a guy fitted non oem shocks and had a collision car was inspected shocks found faulty insurance company bailed cause not been told of change
