Any objections to me ordering a Portamig 185 soon?

I've taken a liking to Gys kit and have their smartmig 162 and love it to death and am possibly buying one of their TIG sets, not sure if its relevant, but look at weldequips site as he sells the Gys 162.

There recent products seem to be pretty good these days. I do remember a while back there was quite a few of the gys inverters turning up selling as spares/repairs. They must of resolved these issues as you don't see it so much now.

I have been invited to visit their factory and am going tomorrow (I am not in the trade or anyway connected with Gys-one of their directors saw my posts on here and invited me to the factory).
I think the problems were when they commenced assembly of units in china and they have now ironed them out now.

Just make sure that you've got a decent 32A 240V circuit on a C-type MCB breaker to supply power to it.

A number of people have little problem running 150A+ on a 13A plug but you're going to go beyond the capability of even a recent installed, decent 13A supply once you're in the 185A and above MIGs.

That shouldn't be a problem as my younger brothers an electrician so I'm going sort that this weekend
