Any OBD2 experts?

I recently fitted an android head unit into the L200.

Decided to try torque to see what info I could get from the ecu. All worked good over bluetooth but I wanted that for hands free. A dig in the loft produced a very cheap looking obd2 to usb adapter, this worked fine except it couldn't read the Mitsubishi specific stuff, so no boost gauge, cat temp, dpf info, basically all the stuff I wanted.

Ordered another from amazon, turns out it is designed to work with Ford diagnostics, it does work great and can read every sensor on the L200 BUT it causes the head unit to cold boot every time you turn it off and on, takes about 15 seconds and i have to re-pair the tyre pressure monitor, wait for GPS and configure Torque.

Anyone know of a basic OBD2 to USB that will read all the sensors and play nice with an Android 10 head unit?

Must be usb, bluetooth and wifi are not suitable as I need them for other things

Any reason why they can not both be connected via bluetooth?
Can you access the headunit and phone settings and set that connection for calls/media only and see if the torque will play along with it at the same time?

Not quite the same thing but my android phone will work with a bluetooth headunit at the same time as displaying engine data

I have 2 phones connected 5 days a week so all the Bluetooth capacity is taken up with that. It has 3 USB ports so wanted to use those

I dont know about headunit os but mobile phone android let's you connect 5 devices now.

Have you tried any of the other usb sockets? If the h/u is rebooting maybe it is seeing something it thinks is a firmware update or something? It might not monitor all of the ports?

I did have a issue with connecting some cameras to something that was solved by using an optical usb isolator...

Or maybe somebody else can answer the actual question you asked!

I can connect as many as I like but only 2 can be active at any one time, I use 2 phones during the week so they get the bluetooth.

Ive tried every usb port, tried a passive hub, a powered hub, no other usb devices, all the usb devices. It the ignition is off more than a few seconds with the usb to obd connected it cold boots. The same doesn't happen with the cheap adapter but that doesn't read all the sensors so pointless it being installed
