I currently have my Murex 135 in the repair shop, thewire feed motor stopped working, they were asked to investigate and phone me with a quote to repair.
I spoke to them this morning, they said " All done sir, that'll be 120 quid please"
I'm not happy, I asked for a quote not a repair, as the welder is about 18 years old and I didn't want it repairing if it was over 80 odd quid, I'm cirrently looking for another welder just now.
Anyway, when I asked why the had'nt called me with a quote first, I was told, and I kid you not "we had to repair it to find out what was wrong with it"
Iv'e never heard of repairing something so that it can be diagnosed, or is it me?
They did say they repaired a diode, any help appreciated.
