Any lighting experts? 3ph metal halide on a 1ph supply - options?

There is a 3ph metal halide unit close to me that would be nice for an exposure setup, however, its 3ph and i only have 1ph here.

The amps are not an issue, but can anyone explain to me how the igniter, chokes (?), and transformer work on these, to give an indication as to if 1ph running would be a possibility?

Failing that, what sort of phase converter would be best for this type of load (load as in metal halide, rather than load as in Kw)

I've never seen a 3ph lamp before, can you post make, model details or a pic of the connections, data plate?

Its made by Beltron, whom, from looking on google, are/were a german company.


Other places on the net seem to be selling the same sort of thing, just newer, eg -
