any ideas to straighten shed door thats starting to warp

just thought id ask on here..

ive got a wooden shed door , traditional double Z shape frame with tongue n groove slats on the front , its started to bend out at the bottom

any ideas to sort it other than fit a bolt to pull it in?

I had the same, typical lightweight construction was my problem, I bought some timber decking lengths and replaced the rubbish framework they had used, 2 hours and £15 later and problem sorted...that was 2 years ago and still straight as a die.

Try using as well as the lock, which I assume is at the centre, a top and bottom swivel shut ( a straight piece of timber or metal with a hole in the middle to rotate the piece onto/off the door). I find that, over time, the door will realign itself with the frame as the thin timber will flex back into the shape.

I've got a padlock in the centre with small shoot bolts top & bottom to keep the door straight.

My garage personnel door did that so I screwed a piece of 2x1 wood on edge diagonally on the inside and (in my case) packed the middle to bow the batten and force the door back straight.

At some point I'm gonna replace it with a homemade steel framed/wood panelled door like my big doors, their 9ft high and 7ft wide and have stayed perfectly true.
