Any idea which blades to buy?

I bought this Fakita multi tool last week but don't know which blades to buy. Is it starlock or will the universal blades fit? Never had one or even used one before so I'm totally new to this kind of tool.

OIS is a standard for multi tool blades (Oscillating Interface System).
As opposed to starlock or starlock plus, or starlock max etc.

Yes. They save you having to completely remove the screw, to fit/remove the blade.

Anyone got any preferred blades for steel? I can't seem to find any dedicated metal blades, they're all wood / metal. Had to get a knackered screw out between floorboard and joist recently and it would have been the perfect tool.

I use Bosch wood/metal blades, Limited choice though as mine is srarlock. They chop through nails in wood okay.

If the screws are the hardened variety, I think they were recommending carbide blades, but check that out before taking my vague recollection as gospel.

Not helful to the OP, but what is a ‘fakita’? Does it stand for “Fake Makita”? If so makita products might well use the same blades - and work far better?
