Any idea where to get a 5 foot domed end for a pressure vessel

Just bought a large tank that needs to be able to withstand -1bar of pressure

It's around 1000 gallon so about 10 foot long and 5 foot round

The 2 domed endcaps have rusted thin so i would like to replace them before spraying it up tidy

Any idea where i could get some made need to be 8mm thick or so and a dome in them so the centre would be around a foot off the floor when layed flat

A sphere gives the highest ratio Volume:Surface Area. Reduce the surface area for a given pressure you reduce the force, ie stress, in the ends of the tank.

So spherical ends reduce the stress and increase the volume of the vessel.

I'm not 100% but i think slurry tankers are rated at +/- 0.5bar. The last one I looked at was closer to 6mm rather than 8mm. So using one of those may not be an option.

If the thinning is localised, is cutting out those sections and replacing them with flat, then plating over the joins again, an option?
