Any idea what material these is

Was down the local metal place yesterday and picked up some off cuts off alloy and steel. When messing around today on the lathe. Went to pick the swarf up with the magnet and noticed it didn't pick it up. So I tried the stock and same. Its not aluminium, its heavy like steel and looks like steel, any ideas ??

If it machines nice then probably 303 stainless.

Will likely be a 300 grade stainless.
