Any Fridge expert out there

I have a Beko side by side fridge freezer (American type thing) with a problem. The freezer side is freezing at the bottom and warm at the top, also the fridge side is the same and things are freezing in the bottom of the fridge. I’ve opened the air duct at the back of the freezer and all is clear, took the back off and hoovered all the dust out but no different. It’s a frost free design . The compressor and main fan are all running constantly but it seems like the cold air is not getting through to were it needs to be.

Any suggestions.

did you say you poked the drain hole clear at back of fridge and does the door seal close properly. here

yeah they have a rear part that can freeze up and block off air movement

My Samsung fridge has a fan, temp sensor and duct modification to stop the vent and fan freezing and causing similar things to happen. You might have to empty it and take some more covers off for a poke about. They have a heater in them to auto defrost so worth checking that out too.

Just took the internal covers off and found a blown motor on a circulating fan and a load of ice blocking one of the vents under it. No ice anywhere else so I recon the lack of air circulation caused the ice. Will order a new fan and see how it goes.
Lost a fridge full of food though.

I cant recall what the issues are exactly, but we purchased our samsung (known to be) broken with the same fault, and then you get a kit off ebay to replace all the sensors etc.

It was years back now, so i cant remember the details, but there are loads of youtube videos.

I have to defrost our frost free freezer quite regularly. It does depend on the amount of humidity in the air. The fridge part becomes warmer and the fans run constantly. I take of the inside cover of the freezer and usually find the cooling element in the bottom is completely blocked with hard ice. 15 minutes with the hot air gun and it's all back to normally. Usually get about 2 litres of ice out of it. Your fan probably went because it was constanly running. When I spoke to the manufacturer they said frost free doesn't mean ice free? Oh, OK!

my frost free stopped working too, same as above the freezer was iced up.... after about 3 years of owning it... but I have left the door open at least couple of times (just a little gap, closed enough that it thinks toe door is closed)

Usually when ice forms on pipes and the freezer isn't working properly it's the auto defrost heater that's not working, hence your ice build up

Don't be too happy just yet, as, if it's one of the sensors, the ice will build up and lock the fan again in a couple of weeks.

Just keep an eye on things for now. With luck it will be just the fan, but, as I said before, it could be ice build up that broke the fan....
