Is there much difference between TIGing mild and stainless steel, when it comes to learning? I am hoping to get along to South Coast Welding tomorrow to pick up a rent free argon cylinder, and as I have a stack of mild steel sheets at home thought I might start practicing on those! Will they be much different in how they weld compared to stainless?

personally i would say there really isnt that much difference. Slight difference on amperage in mild v stainless but other than that not really.
