Neither, took it up with the idea of going offshore plating & welding, however I've been too busy here and I'm not sure I'd want to/or be able to hack 3 weeks on, one week off of 12 hour days.

In london, our eastern european friends will work for peanuts, so I no longer do any rope access stuff. Not to mention the fact that all the EE building managers put the jobs into their EE mates.

Lots of rope access in NDT these days, not all on rigs. Up here in Teesside there are a couple of RA 'schools' that have set up in the last handful of years.

1st day on safety rope work no use been up a 90 meter wind turbine if its on fire and only has one ladder down
