Any bodywork agencies recomend in austria?

Wanting to move to austria but need to get my foot in the door regarding classic car restoration over there but I've no contacts. Ideally looking for a small family run bussiness. Any ideas or contacts?

Can't help but wanted to wish you well. I have been to Austria many times and it's one of the few countries I would consider moving to. Very rarely seen classic cars though, but then I've mainly been around the Tirol and Lake Wolfgang, so they may be more common in the bigger cities.

Not sure if you are limited to moving to a particular place, but you may have more luck finding work around the bit of Germany that sticks down into Austria - the Germans seem to like their classics more than the Austrians.

This guy from NSRA has a lot to do with hotrods and the like he may be able to point you in a direction---if you find out how to contact him-- you can send a PM on the NSRA site but you need to be a member.
He may be over at the weekend for the Hotrod Supernationals. at Old Warden park in Biggleswade.

We run the german street rod nats at the 5/6/7. August in 64673 Zwingenberg. The location is a country club. ( GSRA meets Virginia Hillbillys

Zwingenberg is in the Rhein-Main Area, very close to Darmstadt, Frankfurt a.M., FRA, Heidelberg.
Its on the front of our Odenwald Nationalpark/Mountains.

Usually the nats were planed for Bitburg the week after the ESRA Nats. But the hole property with the airfield was sold to a privat investment group. And they have different interests.

The Puplic Drag Race @ Nitro-OlypX Drag Races will be at the same weekend as the GSRA Nats. We are discussing if we do a cruise to the hockenheim raceway for two a couple hours or so.
The Hockenheimraceway is only 30 miles from the GSRA Nats fairground away.

One week later, from friday.12/13/14 Aug. the Nitro-OlympX are at the hockenheimring. It europes biggest drag race show. Our local goodguys/rmc club does usually a hot rod special in the infield.

So if someone like to stay for two weekends, the GSRA Nats, a bit sightseeing and the Nitro-OlympX weekend will be the perfect all american hot rod week.



If someone likes to do a long distance cruise, the american graffiti show in austria is nice. (9-13June)We do, if the weather is ok, a cruising the alps hot rod tour there.

I can not help with the original post. My thoughts were the exact opposite to Merlinspikes, been a bit of an Audi nut I often notice older Quattros when we go skiing, 80s early A6 and older A8 (not UR Quattros!) almost with out exception they are all much better looked after than similar cars in the UK.

It was a fantastic super sunny week. With temp. of 105f / 39c its was maybe a bit to much for some ride´s and rodder, but we all made the 1000 miles roadtrip without any major technical fails that could not be fixed.
Ya Gotta Drive´Em !, thats what we are doing, no trailer queens in our travel group.
