I'm looking to repair this antique watering can. Online research points to it being made of brass. The handle came off and I'm going to try to braze it back on. I have copper phosphorus brazing rods. Looking for advice on what kind of flux to use and wether copper Phosphorus rods are indeed the right choice. Any advice welcome.

Silver solder it.

Last one I did I even used a hard tin solder, that still held.
I also have this one to seal. It's copper. I imagine it's even more vulnerable to heat as the brass. Silver solder (although quite expensive to do all around the rim) or lead or lead free solder would seal it nicely, do you think? I'd like it to be water tight. Would have liked to use copper phosphorus rod for the colour match but won't risk melting the jug.

if your any good at soldering ,cleaned properly soft solder will run in fine . soft soldered the cheap poxy handle and spout on our teapot and is well strong enough
