Another, what's this for? Thread

I acquired these from a friend who was clearing out some junk. We'll use them as planters in the garden.

But what were they from? They're heavy fiberglass, very heavy. About a foot by two foot, shallow.

Just curious.

By the pattern left on them, 'load spreaders' for under something?

I thought they might be molds, but that pattern would appear as a protrusion, which doesn't make sense. Thanks for the ideas, makes me feel better that I can't come up with a definitive answer.

I don't know what there were for but they look a bit posh on the outside for molds.

The standard of finish is very good, I've nine and they are identical.

I would put on safety tray (acid leaks), for big batteries from submarines. Look for the mark "arrow + WD"

No markings that I can see. But it's not a bad idea.
