I was listening to an American radio station this morning. They reported that SpaceX has given NASA an unsolicited proposal to send a Dragon capsule to Hubble and push it in to a higher orbit. Apparently, its (slowly decaying) orbit is now life-limiting. There was speculation that any such mission might try to install upgrades, but obviously that would have to be done without the carrying capacity of the Shuttle, but I'm sure that Elon's people will be creative. I wonder if the excitement being generated by the results coming back from JWST could have created a receptive mood in the US to try and keep Hubble going?
