Hi all
I've been using this welder for about 20 years with the usual problems ( guns / wire feed etc. ) but the problem now is a bit disconcerting.
When I try to weld I get no arc.
After investigating it seems that the contactor isn't - the moving part either doesn't move at all or it moves/clicks in then comes straight back out even though I'm still trying to weld , however if you hold it in ( I know it's not recomended ) it will arc but it's permanently 'live'.
My question is - is it the contactor that's gone or the electrics that control it and is it worth repairing ?
I also have a clark 135te but it's nowhere near as good and would like to go back to the snap-on
Thanks , Adam
