Clearly it is an undersized Noah claw from a spoil bracket for a 1956 Ghislane procurement adapter.

I did think that but from my research they only started knurling the slide pin from 1958.

Looks like a piston hank from a jib sail.
The tail goes through an eylet on the luff of the sail and is hammered closed to keep it in place. The plunger opens to allow the hank to fit over the forestay.
