Good evening,

I am currently pricing for a job that will end up in Tangier (Morroco)
Few options on how to build it, but the easiest option may be to fabricate as frames.
These will be approx 10m long, 2520 wide and 2855 high.
Normally , I would stick each of these on a flat bed and fire them to wherever they need to go in the uk.
So, question I am asking is can you put a lorry with flat bed trailer on a ship or do you have to use curtainsiders ? At this stage , I am guessing there is a more direct route by ship , rather than crossing into europe and driving round ? I think you would be running the gauntlet driving through the countries on a road trip !! Could be up to 15 to be delivered too.

You don't need curtain siders.

Can't you just transport them to a south coast port (Southampton or Portsmouth) and get them stowed on a ship then arrange transport at the other end?
Would be simpler than driving them there and driving back.

Or buy old flat beds just in "test" then have the frames welded on to the beds and use them as one way trip trailers that way you don't have to bring them back, again arrange transport out there.

You may even be able to sell them on out there, to offset the cost...

Sounds like the only thing you need to ship out there is yourself, is it not worth looking at the options of renting some workspace out there and taking a working holiday? I would have thought the materials are also going to be a good bit cheaper out there .

I would plan to go out there for a few days just to oversee the final erection. Strictly work of course .
